Mitsuomi (Mits) Nakamura currently works for Hotstart, Inc. (Spokane, WA) as the International Business Manager. He moved back to Spokane in August 2023 after serving as the Managing Director in the past twelve year for Hotstart’s subsidiaries in Japan, Germany, and United Kingdom.
Mits graduated with the master's degree of International Management from Whitworth in 2005. He was an active member of the Spokane Sister City Association and served on the board of directors for the Spokane-Nishinomiya Sister City Association. Mits led the Japan-Tsunami-Relief charity campaign in the Spokane community through Spokane Red Cross. The enormous success was recognized by the Mayor’s Salutation Award from Mayor Mary Verner in 2012. Mits was also awarded “Best 20 Under 40” by the Inland Business Catalyst Magazine in 2012.
Mits loves traveling with his wife and two children around the world. Watching European soccer is his favorite thing to do during the weekend. In October 2022, after the Mt. Everest Base Camp trekking challenge (17,500 ft), his once-a-life dream was accomplished.
