Every year, on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, there is a day for all to come together on social media to show powerful generosity. A Global Day of Giving. This year #GivingTusday or #GT21 falls on November 30th. The charitable giving generated nationally has grown to over $511 million as of last year.
#GivingTuesday helps Spokane Public Schools Foundation (SPSF)
SPSF is participating in #GT21 in an effort to raise funds to provide smaller ($200-$1000) grants to teachers and the local school community. With more than 30,000 students in the Spokane Public School District, this allows over 2000 educators to engage their students in activities and programs they may not have otherwise had access to due to budgetary constraints within the general education fund of the school district.
Donations made through November 30 will provide essential support to our students and teachers with the resources to achieve innovative learning opportunities so that all students can excel.
